About Retold Recycling
Retold Recycling was founded in 2020 by friends and former colleagues Alan Yeoh and Amelia Trumble, two Australians based in California who shared a passion for sustainability. Together, they set out to make textile recycling effortless and accessible for everyone.
What makes Retold unique is that it was built solely for textile recycling, not as an add-on to retail or resale. Their simple system is designed for convenience: order a compostable bag, fill it with your clean and dry unwanted clothing or fabric, and drop it in the mail. From there, every item is carefully sorted to be reused, donated, repurposed, or recycled, never sent to landfill.
Since launching, Retold has already diverted hundreds of tons of textiles from landfill and continues to grow a passionate community dedicated to creating a landfill-free future, #NoLandfill.

How to use
Using The Solo Bag is quick and hassle-free. Simply fill the bag with any textiles you’re ready to part with, from old socks to worn-out t-shirts or even a chewed-up dog toy. Make sure everything is freshly washed and dried, then seal the bag with the built-in adhesive strip. Once it’s packed, just drop it off in the mail. With prepaid postage and labeling already included, your textiles are on their way to being responsibly recycled, no extra steps required.
