About Retold Recycling
Retold Recycling was founded in 2020 by friends and former colleagues Alan Yeoh and Amelia Trumble, two Australians based in California who shared a passion for sustainability. Together, they set out to make textile recycling effortless and accessible for everyone.
What makes Retold unique is that it was built solely for textile recycling, not as an add-on to retail or resale. Their simple system is designed for convenience: order a compostable bag, fill it with your clean and dry unwanted clothing or fabric, and drop it in the mail. From there, every item is carefully sorted to be reused, donated, repurposed, or recycled, never sent to landfill.
Since launching, Retold has already diverted hundreds of tons of textiles from landfill and continues to grow a passionate community dedicated to creating a landfill-free future, #NoLandfill.

How to use
Using the 3-bag bundle is simple and flexible. Start by filling one bag with textiles you no longer need, from worn-out socks and outdated clothing to towels, sheets, or even old pet toys. Be sure everything is freshly washed and dried before packing. Once a bag is full, seal it with the built-in adhesive strip and drop it in the mail. Since the bags come prepaid and pre-labeled, no extra work is required. Keep the remaining bags on hand for your next cleanup, making it easy to recycle textiles at your own pace.
