About Meli Wraps
Born on the beaches of Kaua’i, Hawai’i, Meli Wraps was founded by Melia Foster and Nicole Galchutt to fight the tide of plastic waste and keep oceans clean for future generations. “Meli” means honeybee in Hawaiian, a nod to the local Hawaiian beeswax at the heart of every wrap and to the super-pollinators we work to protect.
Our reusable beeswax wraps are crafted from Hawaiian beeswax and 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. They’re durable, naturally sticky, and compostable at the end of their life, each one replacing hundreds of plastic bags or rolls of plastic wrap. By supporting local beekeepers, designers, and makers, every wrap sustains the community that created it.
Meli Wraps partners with Surfrider Foundation for cleanups and donations, extending our mission from the shores of Hawai’i to oceans worldwide. Together we’re reducing plastic waste one wrap at a time, and proving that small, everyday swaps can protect the planet in a big way.

How to use
Simply wrap food items or cover containers by pressing the wrap gently with your hands to warm and activate the beeswax’s natural stickiness. After use, wash with cool water and mild dish soap, then air dry. Avoid hot water, microwaves, or direct heat to prolong the life of your wraps.
