Sustainability
The Cantaritos Clay Cup - 4 Pack by Verve Culture is a beautiful example of sustainable craftsmanship. Each cup is handmade from natural clay by skilled artisans in Jalisco, Mexico, following traditional methods passed down through generations. Unlike plastic or mass-produced drinkware, these clay cups are crafted using local materials with minimal environmental impact.
The lead-free glaze ensures they are safe for everyday use, while their durability, when properly cared for, allows them to be reused time and time again—reducing the need for disposable alternatives. By choosing these handcrafted cups, you are supporting sustainable artistry and preserving cultural heritage.

How They Are Made
The cups are made out of clay and we have finished our cups with a special led-free glaze to reinforce them. The maker, Rodolfo, and his team shape each cup on a manual turntable. Since he was a boy, Rodolfo has been creating Mexican ceramics with the help of his father, who taught him traditional shapes, painting, glazes, and finishes. He studied at the cultural school at El Refugio in Tlaquepaque.

What are people saying about Cantaritos Clay Cup - 4 Pack?
These are adorable. However, the rough bottoms make them challenging to use on indoor surfaces like wood tables and some stone surfaces as they will scratch. It would make more sense to smooth and glaze the bottoms.
We love these!!
Great cups
Love these they are larger than I thought they would be.
How to use
Cantaritos Clay Cups are perfect for serving traditional Mexican cocktails like Cantaritos or Palomas. To use, simply fill the cup with your favorite drink—its clay material naturally keeps beverages cool and refreshing. For an authentic experience, line the rim with salt, add crushed ice, tequila, fresh citrus juice, and a splash of grapefruit soda. Stir gently, garnish with a slice of lime or orange, and enjoy!
These cups are also great for iced coffee, agua fresca, or any cold drink you want to keep chilled. Remember to hand wash them with warm soapy water to maintain their beautiful finish, and avoid using a dishwasher to keep them in perfect condition.
