Sustainability
This handcrafted jug supports both people and the planet. Made from natural terracotta clay using traditional hand-molding techniques, it honors centuries of artisan knowledge while reducing the need for industrial manufacturing. The lead-free glaze ensures safety without harsh chemicals, and its durable design encourages long-term use. Sourced from a small artisan workshop in Mexico, each jug helps preserve cultural craftsmanship and supports fair work practices.
Plus, its versatility as a cooking vessel, vase, or decor means fewer single-use or mass-produced items in your kitchen or home.

What are people saying about Hot Chocolate Jug?
I love it. I have one and gave this one as a gift.
Love my product, service was really fast and the package was perfect to protect it. 100% recommended 😍
Just beautiful craftsmanship. Thank you.
Care use of the jug is also clear. Look forward to using it. Saving it to make an occasion special.
I have this with the whisk :). It works absolutely fine with my glass top stove. Perfect for my hot chocolate.
How to use
To enjoy a traditional cup of Mexican hot chocolate, simply place the jug directly over a flame or electric stovetop. Add milk and your favorite Mexican or Oaxacan chocolate, and stir until melted and frothy using a wooden molinillo. The jug is also great for heating tea, coffee, or even soups—just avoid using it as a water pitcher, since the natural terracotta clay may "sweat" with condensation. Before its first use, be sure to cure the jug: fill it with cool water (below the rim), heat it gently for about 10 minutes, then allow it to cool completely.
Once cured, your jug is ready for delicious, heartwarming drinks any time. Hand wash with light soap and dry thoroughly between uses to keep it in top shape.

Frequently Asked Questions
The jug is safe for use over a direct flame or electric stovetop. However, it’s not recommended for induction cooktops. Always heat it slowly and avoid high heat to prevent cracking.
Yes, curing is essential. To cure, fill the jug with cool water (below the rim), heat gently for about 10 minutes, turn off the heat, let it cool completely, then discard the water. This helps strengthen the clay and prepare it for use.
No, it is not recommended as a water pitcher. The terracotta clay is porous and will “sweat,” which can lead to condensation on the outside. This is normal but may be inconvenient for cold beverages.
Wash with lightly soapy water and avoid abrasive scrubbers. Allow it to dry completely before storing to prevent mold or mildew. Over time, the jug will develop character and improve with use.
This versatile jug can also be used to heat milk, teas, coffee, or soups. It even works beautifully as a rustic vase or decorative piece when not in use.
