Hi! We are Jennifer, Heather, and Emily - Sisters and co-founders of Herbal Roots. We have always shared a passion for using herbal supplements and home remedies whenever possible.
We found a problem in the supplements world, in that we had a hard time finding supplements that are 100% pure, that used the whole herb and that didn’t add unnecessary ingredients like fillers, sugar, additives and binders.
In 2017 we took it upon ourselves to take our passion for herbal remedies and create a product line of the purest supplements possible. Fueled by the need for pure, whole supplements we took a giant leap and Herbal Roots was born.

Herbal Roots St John's wort supplement contains 300 mg St John's wort flower extract and 150mg organic St John's wort in organic vegan capsules and nothing else!
There are no binders, fillers, preservatives or any other junk that doesn't belong in a supplement.
The vegan capsule itself is made from plant cellulose. More specifically NOP certified organic pullulan, purified water, semi-refined seaweed extract, certified organic carnauba polishing wax.
Most people can usually tolerate ashwagandha. However, there have not been enough long-term studies to fully examine the possible side effects. Taking large amounts of ashwagandha can lead to digestive upset, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take ashwagandha. People with autoimmune diseases should also avoid ashwagandha unless authorized by a healthcare provider.
Ashwagandha may slow down the central nervous system. Anesthesia and other medications during and after surgery might increase this effect. Stop taking ashwagandha at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.
St. John's wort may cause increased sensitivity to sunlight, especially when taken in large doses. Other side effects can include insomnia, anxiety, dry mouth, dizziness, gastrointestinal symptoms, fatigue, headache, or sexual dysfunction.
St John's wort can also made some medications less effective, including birth control.
