The packaging is fully recyclable. This supplement uses amber glass bottles, recyclable metal lids, and the boxes are made of paper produced from waste material from sugar cane manufacturing.

Hi! We are Jennifer, Heather, and Emily - Sisters and co-founders of Herbal Roots. We have always shared a passion for using herbal supplements and home remedies whenever possible.
We found a problem in the supplements world, in that we had a hard time finding supplements that are 100% pure, that used the whole herb and that didn’t add unnecessary ingredients like fillers, sugar, additives and binders.
In 2017 we took it upon ourselves to take our passion for herbal remedies and create a product line of the purest supplements possible. Fueled by the need for pure, whole supplements we took a giant leap and Herbal Roots was born.

The amount of apple cider vinegar in the pills varies by brand, but typically one capsule contains about 500 mg, which is equivalent to two liquid teaspoons (10 ml). Herbal Roots ACV pills contain 650mg per capsule so is equivalent to just over two teaspoons of liquid.

The elderberry is heated and dried to make it into powder form. Both processes reduce the cyanide-inducing glycoside naturally found in elderberries.
Apple cider vinegar helps prevent blood sugar spikes by reducing the rate at which food leaves the stomach and enters the lower digestive tract. This effect may cause heartburn, bloating and nausea.
Consuming large amounts of apple cider vinegar long-term might lead to problems such as low levels of potassium.
The known side effects of a mushroom blend is minimal. Side effects may include upset stomach, skin rashes and dizziness.
Elderberry side effects are rare but may include nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps or diarrhea.
These side effects are more common when consuming homemade elderberry products that have not been cooked long enough to remove the natural chemical that produces cyanide in the leaves or other plant parts and in the unripe green fruit.
