What are people saying about XL Tortilla Press - Polished Aluminum?
Is very well made, steady and beautiful, tortillas come out perfect.
Love it so fun.
It’s awesome! I purchased it because the hinges looked more heavy duty than the presses on Amazon. I roll out my tortillas with a rolling pin and then use the press to make them flat and even. It’s way better than my previous method of rolling out my tortillas and then flattening with a big stainless steel pot. So much less work and way faster. This press is a great addition to my kitchen!
How blithely ignorant I was all those years using a rolling pin to make tortillas and wraps! This press is a great product: perfect uniform tortillas, in half the time. I also support what Verve is doing. They are making available simple well-made amazingly utilitarian products from around the world which will last.
Lightweight but solid enough to make consistently great tortillas. Parchment paper will make your life much easier and works better than a Ziploc. Looks great too.
How to use
Making fresh, delicious tortillas at home is easier than you think. Just mix masa harina (corn flour) with water, roll the dough into small balls, and place one between the plates of your tortilla press. Press gently to flatten it into a perfect circle, then cook each side on a hot pan for about a minute. That’s it!
You’ll have warm, chewy tortillas that taste better than anything store-bought. Great for tacos, burritos, and impressing guests with your street food skills. Once you try it, you’ll never go back.
